CompHealth team celebrates return of deployed co-worker

One of CompHealth’s team members, Javier Chavez, recently returned to work from an overseas military assignment. His co-workers celebrated by having a lunch to welcome him back after being deployed for more than a year.

Chavez will recruit for the CompHealth Lab team.

Thank goodness it’s – Fry Day?

Our accounts receivable team likes to celebrate holidays. We’re talking every holiday. They recently planned to have a get-together for National Junk Food Day.  They started talking the day before about bringing in junk food to celebrate, but they wanted to up the ante; the food had to be even junkier than usual.  Someone mentioned a deep fryer, and it took off from there.  Corporate collections specialist Cody West and A/R customer relations specialist Miguel Martinez found a recipe for batter online, and West picked up Twinkies, Swiss Rolls, peanut butter bars and Oreos.  Others brought vegetables, bananas, string cheese and even a slice of pizza.

“What started out as a joke turned into a fat-frenzied reality that will not soon be forgotten,” said West.

Employee Appreciation wrap-up

Employee Appreciation Week was a great success again this year. The manager car washes, bingo and Family Feud games, ice cream truck visits and Wellness Fairs were just the tip of the iceberg – there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy! Each office had events tailored to its teams to encourage maximum participation. Throw in some barbecues, movies and trivia contests, and the week was just about complete. CHG employees won approximately 400 gift cards and 150 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) throughout the week.

You can see the recap video to our excellent week by checking out our Video Vault or YouTube channel. But in the meantime, check out the arm on one of our directors at CompHealth!

Norwalk team grills for a good cause

The CompHealth permanent placement team in Norwalk recently hosted a building-wide Barbecue for Breast Cancer to raise money for the Avon Foundation Walk for Breast Cancer.

“The barbecue was a success based on the money raised and the participation building wide,” said Jan Lynn, a business partner on the CompHealth OB/GYN & Anesthesia team.

Members of the Norwalk office have formed a team, “Patricia’s Militia,” that will walk in the 2010 Avon Foundation Walk for Breast Cancer in New York City in October. The team is named in honor of Pat Hopkins, a recruiter who is currently battling cancer.

CHG leaders compete for charity

CHG’s corporate and division leaders gathered in Salt Lake City for their annual leadership summit. The event included a full schedule of meetings and activities at the corporate office. Additionally, leaders took part in a leadership workshop as well as a team-building event during which they assembled children’s bikes for charity. Teams had to complete a series of challenges to acquire parts for the bikes; once they had the individual parts, their next task was to put the pieces together. The completed bikes were donated to the Hser Ner Moo Community & Welcome Center, a United Way agency.
