CHG helps employees quit smoking

Did you know that lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States for both men and women, according to the American Cancer Society’s “Cancer Facts & Figures 2009″ publication? But fortunately, it is also the most preventable form of cancer death in our society. To support our employees as well as their dependents (spouses, domestic partners and dependent children under the age of 26) with their efforts to stop smoking, CHG is launching the Smoking Cessation Program in conjunction with the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout, which takes place on the third Thursday of November when smokers across the nation commit to smoking less or quitting for the day.

CHG’s Smoking Cessation program is an ongoing program to support our employees’ and their dependents, including spouses, domestic partners and dependent children under the age of 26, efforts to stop smoking through online resources as well as a prescription reimbursement program for those using prescription smoking cessation medications. For more information, visit the Smoking Cessation Program page, which you can also access from the top navigation menu, by selecting Benefits>Wellness>Smoking Cessation program.
