Employee Appreciation wrap-up
Employee Appreciation Week was a great success again this year. The manager car washes, bingo and Family Feud games, ice cream truck visits and Wellness Fairs were just the tip of the iceberg – there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy! Each office had events tailored to its teams to encourage maximum participation. Throw in some barbecues, movies and trivia contests, and the week was just about complete. CHG employees won approximately 400 gift cards and 150 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) throughout the week.

Norwalk team grills for a good cause
The CompHealth permanent placement team in Norwalk recently hosted a building-wide Barbecue for Breast Cancer to raise money for the Avon Foundation Walk for Breast Cancer.
“The barbecue was a success based on the money raised and the participation building wide,” said Jan Lynn, a business partner on the CompHealth OB/GYN & Anesthesia team.
Members of the Norwalk office have formed a team, “Patricia’s Militia,” that will walk in the 2010 Avon Foundation Walk for Breast Cancer in New York City in October. The team is named in honor of Pat Hopkins, a recruiter who is currently battling cancer.
LocumLife honors recruiters and travelers of the year
LocumLife magazine’s June issue features its locum tenens and recruiter showcases of 2010, and several award winners have ties to the CHG family of companies.
Joel Brown (Weatherby Locums) and Drew Shetrone (CompHealth) both received Recruiter of the Year recognition. Weatherby Locums and CompHealth also had locum tenens providers receive recognition as Travelers of the Year.
Golf-loving CompHealth physician gets spotlight in LocumLife
The May issue of LocumLife spotlights Dr. Ronda Fleck, a CompHealth locum tenens provider who uses her locum tenens assignments as opportunity to visit the local links:
“My recruiter always sends golf course details along with the contract information. She uses that to reel me into certain opportunities by saying, ‘Here, pick this one because of these golf courses.’ And so far, every location I have gone to for locum tenens opportunities has included beautiful golf courses.” – Dr. Ronda Fleck
